DCM Membership Meeting
Saturday, November 8, 2008

Present: Pam, Suzanne, Aubrey, Gretchen, Robin, Beth, Carol, Susan Andresen (andresen.sue@gmail.com), Michael (and Jack the dog)

1. Founder’s Celebration and Community Potluck
Thank you to all who participated and provided their ideas and energy! A success!

2. Farmers Market.
Every Saturday Nov 1 - 22, 8-noon
Nov 29 - March 09, 10-noon (Suzanne will provide presence these times)
March 09 - Resume Wednesdays and Saturdays, regular hours

3. Memberships to date: approx. 312. Goal is 1200 by December 31, 2009.

4. Next Membership Drive
To reach 1200 owners we are considering the following goals.

November 1, 2008 - April 30, 2009 “Sprouting Drive” shopping bag
May 1, 2009 - October 31, 2009 “ Blooming Drive” shopping bag
October 31, 2009 - December 31, 2009/March 31, 2010 “Harvest Drive” peeler

5. Promotional Materials
Brochure: reflect spring, sprouting, aims of 6 months

Premium
Decision: Shopping bags will be our next promo item.

6. Events for membership promotion Suzanne will create a list of around-town events. Churches and community groups.
7. IT (Beth)
Database and Website in process. Michael and Beth to meet today.

7. Other business?
Business Plan. Aubrey will be incorporating Bill G’s numbers from the financial feasibility study.

Task List
Pam: Send email announcement about State of Things; send Suzanne FM volunteer list; share with Location committee the poss. availability of Vega Metals building; go with Carol to Ad Spice to select shopping bags
Robin: Get State of Things info to Beth and Pam; recall name of brochure person to draft text
Beth: Add Founders photos to website; note on website re: State of Things
Suzanne: organize volunteers for FM; report to Pam Vega Metal building owner; create an events list
Aubrey: prep Finance committee for selling shopping bags
Carol: Go with Pam to Ad Spice to select shopping bag; order 10 more brochure holders

Next meeting: 8:30-10:30am, Saturday Nov 15, 2008, Parker and Otis.
