Two weeks ago yesterday Durham Central Market held its Founding Owners' Celebration at the Trotter Building on Geer Street in the Central Park area. The venue was great and I was so energized to be able to put faces to the growing number of names on DCM's ownership rolls.

We sold a few more critical shares and gave folks an update on our plans for the next year or so before we open our store. But the night's biggest success by far was the spead of gorgeous food made by DCM's owners. Like many others, I had heard recent hullabaloo about Durham's foodie-ness, but this was still surprisingly -as my 2-year-old has lately learned to say with endearing gusto- DELICIOUS!

There were so many people who helped make the potluck happen -- thank you, thank you, thank you-- and I look forward to seeing and talking to you soon as we move a few steps closer to opening our doors.
